Artist Notes:
This piece was started several years ago and has patiently waited for renewed attention. My dilemma was how to paint it. With so many planes, surfaces, positive and negative spaces, I couldn't see the solution to the problems I'd created. Sometimes, you just have to start working, and the solution presents itself. And so it moved quickly to finish by simply letting the piece lead the process. The back panel is slightly elevated from the wall and hangs from braided wire. The title suggests how the media exhausts our emotions leaving us hollow and less complete than where we started. The design was uninspired by the "Cybertruck".
