Before she was a painter, Misty was a potter. Her love for ceramics began the moment she first touched clay. Though painting has become her primary focus, she still finds joy in returning to the wheel, shaping ideas with her hands. She also has a deep appreciation for poetry and makes time to write whenever she can.

Beyond the studio, Misty is a mother, an animal lover, and a seeker of inspiration. Whether hiking, cooking, teaching, or dancing, she approaches life with the same curiosity and creativity that fuel her art. She finds beauty in imperfection and inspiration in nature’s ever-changing forms.

Misty’s passion for creativity extends beyond her own work—she loves to inspire others. As an international workshop instructor and author of Unfurling, A Mixed Media Workshop, she has guided countless artists on their journeys. Her work has been featured in Somerset Studio, Cloth Paper Scissors, and Spirituality and Health Magazine.
