Jennifer Yoswa: Telling Stories Through Color

The day I picked up a paintbrush and applied paint to canvas was the day I discovered my voice…and I haven’t stopped “talking” since.

Jennifer Yoswa doesn’t just paint—she tells stories. Inspired by a line from her favorite Joni Mitchell song, she sees the world as a “box of paints,” where every canvas is an opportunity to explore the human experience. Her work brings to life the emotions, connections, and moments that shape us.

I live in a box of paints

Yoswa’s characters tell stories—of love, heartbreak, joy, and those delightful quirks that make us who we are. Through her work, she invites viewers to see themselves in the narratives she creates, hoping they find a piece of their own experience within her brushstrokes.

Her paintings are empowering, tender, and laced with a bit of mischief. A hole in a sock, two left feet, an extra hand, a disco ball where you least expect it—these details aren’t just whimsical; they’re a reminder that imperfection is part of the beauty of being human.

Jennifer Yoswa will be featured in our upcoming online art show, where her work will be on full display.

Her latest collection of original pieces will be unveiled at our next virtual art show “Momentum“, which opens on February 20th at 10am MT. The show will close on February 22nd at 4pm MT. Be sure to create your free Collector Account early so you are prepared for the show open!

You can see more of her work at her official website.
