New England artist Laura Tryon Jennings creates paintings that capture the simple, serene moments of everyday life. Influenced by her coastal surroundings and seasonal shifts, Laura’s color palette reflects the moods and beauty of nature. Whether depicting intimate interiors or scenic landscapes, her work invites viewers to pause and appreciate the calm amidst life’s constant movement.

“My paintings project feelings of calmness, peacefulness, and serenity which hopefully cause the viewer to pause, look, and focus on the intimacy and complexity within the moments of everyday life.”

Her art is held in prestigious collections, including those of Bruce Hornsby and the estate of Mary Higgins Clark, as well as institutions like Harvard University and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Laura’s talent and passion have earned her numerous residencies, including those in Provincetown, where her work has further evolved.

In addition to her painting, Laura teaches oil painting at various art centers and facilitates expressive art workshops. Her approach to art is not just about creating visual beauty but also about fostering moments of reflection and self-discovery for others.

Through her unique perspective, Laura’s work often focuses on everyday objects and scenes that evoke a sense of calm and reflection. Whether it’s a coffee cup or a quiet morning landscape, her paintings remind us to treasure life’s simple yet profound moments.
