These geometric compositions bear witness to our innate desire to organize and understand the world around us. They mirror the balance and harmony that we instinctively seek, reflecting the mathematical underpinnings that govern our existence.

About Me

In my artistic practice I am drawn to intricate geometric patterns. These patterns serve as a universal language of form, connecting us to the depths of history, science, and the wonders of the natural world. In creating work that explores these patterns I seek to convey the inherent beauty and profound significance of these geometric forms. By encouraging a deeper engagement with these designs, I hope to spark curiosity and inspire a renewed appreciation for the extraordinary beauty that lies hidden within the fabric of our existence. In this exploration, may we find solace, awe, and a profound connection to the interplay between history, math, science, and the wonders of the natural world.

Lauri R Dunn-Peterson is from Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art, in Baltimore Maryland, studying photography in the time of the darkroom. Her work is held in private and public collections throughout the United States. When she’s not creating artwork, she’s working on her old house, pulling never ending weeds in her garden, and wishing she was making art instead.

More About Me

What do you wish you could tell your younger artist self?

To believe in myself, and to take risks. Even after graduating from one the top art schools, I never thought I'd be able to 'make it' as an artist. It took me until I was 38 really believe it!

What other non-artist jobs have you had?

Just about every job imaginable! Cook, Waitress, Receptionist, Teacher, Sports Photographer, Wedding Photographer, Barista... the list could go on!

What is your biggest fear?

Heights! I have a hard time going past the 2nd rung on a ladder.
