As a self-taught artist, I paint whatever “the voices in my head tell me to paint”. And, in my crazy cranium, it really presents lots of different images. My intent is to create and have fun… never taking myself too seriously.

About Me

From a very young age, I was always doodling on paper. It was both intriguing and challenging to draw images that were bouncing around in my head.

I started “serious art” at age 43 (around 1992) as a cartoonist and created editorial cartoons for a local newspaper. Then, started cartooning for various magazines. I have illustrated self-help books for internationally recognized writers. I began transforming my creativity into watercolor, pen & ink, Acrylic, and Gesso paintings around 16 years ago. My work hangs in the United States and European collections. I am passionate about "ART & HEALTH" and have written articles on the positive effects of creating. I have spoken to public & art groups on this very important subject.

I look at the world with a great deal of whimsy and focus on figurative images with depth of character and expression. “I hope that most of my work adds ... positive energy to a space and…. a smile to your face.”

More About Me

What inspires you?

PEOPLE that... I ADMIRE ... RESPECT... AND TRUST.

If your life had a theme song, which song would it be?

"OOPS, I DID IT AGAIN"

What's your most embarrassing moment?

While working as a Lifeguard... my dear mom bought me "brand-new stretch swim trunks" as a present. I really didn't like them, but I did not want to hurt her feelings, so I decided to wear them one day. As I was walking around... I heard lots of laughter and could not figure it out. Luckily, some nice person told me... that there was a giant tear in my new stretch trunks. I reached back to check and all I felt was skin! It appears that I was walking around for a while with my posterior sticking out. Anyway.... "I became the BUTT of many jokes. Thanks mom."
