Artist Notes: Additional Gallery Images include several of the many sketches that precede each mask. I had committed to the idea of a mask mounted on a panel which gave me an additional plane for arrangement of mask elements. As I played with positive/negative space the duality of ego and shadow emerged. This Jungian concept is a theme that I explore often, each exploration is a different journey. There are as many interpretations as there are personalities.
