Artist Notes: Additional gallery images reveal two of dozens of the small sketches that began this mask's evolution. The figures were inspired by petroglyph imagery. I took the simple figures several steps further, integrating them into a face where the two figures are both parts of the whole personality of the mask. Archetypal anima/animus? The eyes are also heads of two figures which are nearly lost in the mist. Interpretation is up to you.
