From her studio in beautiful Highlands Ranch, Colorado, artist Behnaz Ahmadian’s creations spring to life through a captivating fusion of vibrant colors and intricate patterns. Originally hailing from Iran and with an aesthetic that’s inspired by her cultural heritage as well as the rich artistic influences she’s found in the United States, Behnaz’s creative journey is one of unyielding passion and a profound connection to her roots.

Growing up in a family of creatives, Behnaz was surrounded and inspired by the magic of art from an early age. Her childhood was marked by an innate love for creativity, and as a self-taught artist, she spent countless hours bringing her imagination to life through various mediums. While she initially pursued a degree in Biology, her heart led her towards a career in interior design, where she discovered the enchanting world of vibrant colors and intricate patterns that would later become the hallmark of her artwork.

Her medium of choice; acrylics and mixed media/collage, are the tools Behnaz uses to weave together her symphony of colors and patterns. Her pieces, characterized by their colorful nature, vivacity, and attention to detail, are a testament to her unique perspective as an artist, drawing influences from her background in design.

Behind every stroke of Behnaz’s brush lies a deeper story—a tribute to her mother, her true muse. Although her mother has passed, Behnaz channels the love and joy instilled in her, creating art that echoes the profound influence of her mother, who was a fashion designer. Each piece of her work is both a new beginning as well as a nostalgic journey.
