I took a hike a few months ago and found this triangular piece of white quartz up a canyon. Just sitting on the ground, and I instantly thought, “Arrowhead!”. Well, it miiight be, but probably not. It was just a piece of quartz and doesn’t have any real “worked” textures. It does look cool on the lid of this vessel, though. Raised from a flat circle of copper, the bowl is hammered and then planished (smoothed out) with several different hammers. The lid still has the dome-forming hammer marks and a fine silver bezel holding the quartz piece. Several coats of paste wax should keep the bright copper color from darkening. Clean with a soft cloth, and additional coats of wax can be applied as needed.
