This painting was inspired by my son Thomas’s love of whiskey—its history, craft, and storytelling. He lent me several bottles from his collection to use as references. Built with layers of collage, acrylic, and charcoal, the softened labels and textured background hint at tradition and time rather than specific brands. The piece reflects craftsmanship, patience, and the quiet presence of well-made things.
