My approach to creating a collection for “An Expected Twist” was to focus on the ‘unexpected’ combination and/or use of materials, with an added ‘twist’ of little moments of surprise in the details. The surprising quality of these earrings are the use of precious metals and the textured setting of the moonstone which seems to emerge from the 22kt gold.
For me, these earrings represent the life force as expressed through form, shape, color, and the sensuality of the materials. The earring wires are argenteum silver and are 1mm thick to retain their shape. The silver ovals are fine silver and have the same texture as many of the rings in this collection.
The moonstones are 4mmx6mm and are set in 22kt gold with a 22kt back plate. They drop 1.75” from the pierced hole in an earlobe. These earrings would pair nicely with the Pink Moonstone wide ring.
