This piece is exploring fabric and thread as a medium symbolizing the use of our natural materials to manufacture the fabric of our daily lives. Each tree has been hand-sewn by me with, thin, sewing machine thread. The backgraound is painted with acrylic paint on cnavas detailed with charcoal pencil and thread and lace fabric.
For protection all my work is bagged with a thin plastic bag. I place cardboard corners on each corner and a piece of cardborad spans the face of the piece. I then wrap the piece with plastic wrap and ship in a box with bubble wrap.
