Old Montgomery's place is an homage to our beautiful neighbors who have grown too old to keep up with their home and have moved on to a place where they may be cared for now. But the thing is, this old place is a few acres away from my house and sits on a small pond and the wildlife still come around. The memories of these sweet neighbors and friends linger with me as I remember her beautiful quilts, her love of coffee and conversation, and how Mr. Montgomery who generously came to my rescue a time or two when we first moved into our home.
