This piece began as a simple man in a hat until I found a scrap from an older painting and stitched it to his face. Now, this is a story of a man and his mustache. It was a love-hate relationship. At first, it grew slowly, a hint of facial hair. But as the days passed, it “sprouted” a life of its own. This bushy mustache defied all attempts at control. The more he tried to trim it, the more it laughed in (and on) his face.
