My approach to creating a collection for “An Expected Twist” was to focus on the ‘unexpected’ combination and/or use of materials, with an added ‘twist’ of little moments of surprise in the details. For this piece, the surprise is the overlap seam on the band as opposed to the conventional hidden seam on fabricated rings.
Over the past several years, the moon has become a major source of inspiration for me. The texture of the silver band paired with the luminosity of the moonstone is a classic combination in my work. Silver is the moon metal.
The ring is made of sterling silver and is 3/8” wide. The moonstone is .4” tall, 1” long and .6” wide. The stone is set in fine silver including the back plate. The ring features my signature overlap seam and will fit size 9.25.
