Artist Notes:

"Hydrospheres" has been hanging (taped) to my studio wall for quite awhile. It features some of my most favorite and comforting cool colors with highlights of metallic silver. I just didn't want to cut or trim out the "best" parts to mount on one of my usual square format panels. And so it has waited... now, I'd love to mat and frame it traditionally "as is". All of its parts are the best and none should be cut away!

About my Circle Series:
My Circle Series began when I was invited to join Artburst Studios in late 2022. The theme of the inaugural exhibit included "upside down", so after nearly 20 years of painting mostly square and linear stripe abstracts, I endeavored to turn my abstracts upside down... by painting circles. Like all my abstracts, my Circles are inspired by the colors and shapes of the urban and rural terrains I've discovered on my travels throughout North American and Europe. Each paintings is layers of oil paint and metallic watermedia paints.
