I made this peice with the idea of the connections we have using thread to symbolize those connections. Our instinct of helping each other outweighs the hatred in the world; this kindness I observe in my community reflexs in my work. It is painted with acrylic paint on canvas, detailed with thin machine thread. There is a needle sewn into the piece to show there will always be a need for repairs.
For protection all my work is bagged with thin plastic bag. I place cardboard corners on each corner and a piece of cardborad spans the face of the piece. I then wrap the piece with plastic wrap and ship in a medium box with bubble wrap.
