I enjoy spending time in the mountians, mostly to study trees and wildlife interacting with the trees. During the drive I study the way the mountains were formed. Working off memory I try to put the land back together in my work. It's so interesting viewing mountains from differnt vantage points, always fiding a differnt perspective. This piece is made with acrylic on canvas, detailed with charcol pencil, and hand-sewn thread.
For protection, all my work is bagged with a thin plastic bag. I place cardboard corners on each corner and a piece of cardborad spans the face of the piece. I wrap the piece with plastic wrap and ship in a box with bubble wrap.
