Though she has always been creative, Rebecca didn’t fully embrace the title of “Artist” until midlife. She considers herself self-taught but credits a strong community of mentors, teachers, and peers for helping her develop her artistic voice. Now, she plays an active role in fostering creativity by serving on the leadership team for Artburst Studios.

Rebecca’s journey has taken many twists and turns—from healthcare to education to business—but one thing remains constant: her passion for engagement. Whether painting, sculpting, or teaching, she is always exploring intersections, weaving together her diverse experiences to create work that reflects the complexity of human connection.

For Rebecca, painting is more than an artistic practice; it’s a way to slow down, focus, and find meaning in the chaos of life. Her hope is that those who view her work feel a sense of connection, recognizing a piece of themselves in the stories she brings to life.
