Leslie Miller

Tubac, Arizona

“I believe the unique beauty of a person lies where their influences, their values and their experiences coincide.”

About Me

Leslie Miller is a contemporary artist painting primarily in oil with cold wax medium. Fascinated by the many layers, unique marks, and ability to create transparency and opacity that hints toward the human condition. Working intuitively each piece ebbs and flows through various layers that could not be achieved in one pass. In the same way, people are built from many different layers of influence and experiences.

Her artwork can be found in many local exhibits in Arizona and homes throughout the US. Leslie’s work is represented by On The Edge Contemporary Gallery in Tubac. In 2016 she received the Master Meed award by popular vote from Tubac Center of the Arts.

After many creative endeavors, she began her education in fine art through independent study in 2014 and continues to learn constantly from other accomplished artists. Notably, Leslie brings art instructors from around the country to teach workshops at Tubac School of Fine Art the adult education division of Tubac Center of the Arts. Leslie also teaches workshops at the school and online.

Born and adopted in California, raised in East Tennessee she now resides in Tubac, AZ.
