About Me
Art has been a passion and hobby throughout my life but in 2018 I began painting with intent to learn and grow as an artist. As a "self-taught" artist I continue to experiment, learn and grow through the use of new techniques, tools and ideas as my journey unfolds. I have had a long career in healthcare that has informed my art by providing focus on the immediate joy and beauty of the moment. I would encourage everyone to "stop and smell the roses" everyday, even if that means enjoying some artwork!

I would encourage my younger self to just paint for the love of creating and not be focused on the outcome. There will always be more paper and canvas so just do what moves you and don't be afraid!
I felt like an artist when I entered my first local show and was accepted. Seeing my art up on the wall with other "real artists" was the moment that I knew that I could pursue this coveted title as well!
While I have spent my adult time in healthcare, I had so many different jobs as a youth! "Barista, factory worker, gas station attendant (back when we would check the oil and wipe the windshield!!), telemarketer. All of these jobs gave me so many experiences to draw from, and I met so many interesting people.
