Never stop trying new things, you never know where it will take you.

About Me

I create my art with three things. Paper, glue, and a small rolling tool. I am inspired by an ancient art form called paper quilling, also known as paper filigree, which is an art form that is over five hundred years old. The name is derived from the feather quill, on which the strips of paper were rolled.

I discovered quilling online, ordered supplies and started creating. I was drawn to the vibrant colors, dimension and the unique nature of paper. I set out to create my own style and people responded.

I have spent my life around artists. Both my parents were artists and many of their friends. I never imagined I could be one too. I felt intimidated by all the talent around me. I tried many art forms over the years, but it wasn't until Quilling that I found my passion. I am so lucky to have another chapter in my life.

This is why I chose my quote .

More About Me

Which artist (famous or not) has influenced you the most and how?

My father influenced me in many ways but his love of art and creating art are my fondest memories. He worked in every medium without fear. His dedication to projects was impressive. He built the giraffe in my backyard that I mentioned in fun facts.

What other non-artist jobs have you had?

Prior to my art career I sold window coverings. I worked in a world of beige. I think that's why I use so much color in my art. Nobody wanted rainbow drapes.

When did you know you were an artist?

What? Am I an artist? I still find it hard to believe but it's not lost on me how lucky I am. Grateful everyday for the opportunities I receive.
