“Self-expression is crucial for me and producing art provides me an outlet to escape the daily grind. Art is how I fit into my surroundings, providing me a means to go to retreat into my own little world, one which is beautiful, jubilant, where all the colors are bold and brighter than reality.”

About Me

I was born in Iran and raised in the United States and currently living in Colorado with my husband and son. I am a self-taught artist, art instructor, and an interior designer. Creating each piece of art is like a journey that takes me back to my childhood when I was introduced to fabrics and surface patterns through my mother, who was a fashion designer. Watching my mother work captivated me and influenced and informed who I am today. I enjoy painting florals, abstracts and many different subjects, however, pears intrigue me the most. Pears are one of my favorite subjects to paint because of their organic shape, movement and seductive lines, which depict humans in my paintings. Self-expression is crucial for me and producing art provides me an outlet to escape the daily grind.

Art is how I fit into my surroundings, providing me a means to go to retreat into my own little world, one which is beautiful, jubilant, where all the colors are bold and brighter than reality. In today’s fast-paced world, it is important for me to pause and intentionally look at my surroundings, take notice and appreciate all the details in life and objects. For my art, I would like to provide the viewer an opportunity to closely observe all the unique patterns and shapes and to feel a sense of satisfaction and energy. While I thoroughly love painting with color, I occasionally take a break and embraces black and white, drawing pet portraits with graphite pencils and also black and white doodle illustrations.
