Rocks are cool!

About Me
I am a lapidary artist and geology enthusiast and primarily focus my work on bringing out the natural beauty in stone. I use stone as my primary medium to create jewelry that reverses the role of stone and metal. Metal is used to accent the stone, while the stone takes the main focus. I enjoy going out to collect my own rocks to use in my work, but I love seeing and working with materials that come from all over the world.

More About Me
What do you want to learn next?
I would love to learn ceramics, and incorporate some of the sculptural aesthetics I have learned with stone in to the vessels I would create.
What inspires you?
My main inspiration comes from the material itself that I work with. My desire is to bring out and emphasize the best properties of the material.
What do you wish you could tell your younger artist self?
Do not waste time working with subpar material. Strive to get the best out of the material.
