Large, unusual resin mismatch earrings with stripes design inlaid.
These really are a pair of statement earrings!
Handmade resin earrings.
Large arch orange bottoms with mismatching cerise stripes inlaid to the surface and cerise arch tops with stripes design inlaid.
The larger earring also has a lilac open arch layer which dangles on top of the design.
The resin has a very smooth tactile finish and the earrings although large, are extremely comfortable to wear.
Cerise tops:0.9 inches wide x 0.98 inches x 0.19 inches deep.
orange large arch: 2.16 inches x 0.94 inches x 0.19 inches
smaller orange arch: 1.65 inches x 0.78 inches x 0.19 inches
I’ve always loved experimenting with colour and creating patterns, so when I discovered resin at college, I knew it was the perfect material for me to create my pieces.
From mixing the pigments to create custom colours, to drilling and sawing into the surface to form the patterns I can’t imagine working in a different material, it’s very versatile.
With this collection for Divine I’ve played around with the use of colour. The clashing between the orange, lilac and cerise is very satisfying.
I’ve also incorporated my ‘changing stripes’ and ‘reverse dot’ KAZ techniques into a few of the pieces. These are techniques that I have experimented with across the years and allow a different way for me to create pattern within my work.
I hope this collection will spread a little bit of much needed joy and fun!
