The pendant itself becomes the clasp in this necklace, utilizing a toggle clasp that goes through the stone. The pendant incorporates my favorite material: petrified wood from Parker, Colorado. I am local to the area and love to go out and collect it myself! This particular necklace is of petrified palm wood, which technically is not a type of tree, but a monocotyledon. The spotted pattern that derives from the palm is indeed gorgeous!
