Size: Height: 1.15" X Width: 4" X Depth: .25"
Framing: Ready for display.
Medium: Cloisonne Enamel
Substrate: Vitreous enamel, fine silver, sterling silver
Artist Notes: A serpent winds through a field of symbols—an all-seeing eye, a lotus, and two crescent moons—set against a backdrop of deep blue and violet enamel touched with fleur-de-lys. The design is created as two cloisonné panels that meet at the center, where the lotus comes fully into bloom. Fine silver wires shape each element, while carefully layered enamel builds rich color and depth across the surface.

The panels are set in a hinged sterling silver structure that allows the two enamels to open gently away from one another while still forming a single, sculptural centerpiece. Fleur-de-lys links and sterling silver wire extend from the setting to create the collar. On the reverse, delicate pierced flowers and vines—echoing the cloisonné design on the front—offer subtle glimpses of the enamel beneath.

Materials: Vitreous enamel, fine silver, sterling silver
Size: 4″ wide x 1.15″ tall on an 18-inch linked sterling choker with a 2-inch extender

Cloisonné is a technique in which fine silver or gold wires are applied to the metal surface to form small cells that are then filled with layers of enamel (ground glass). Each piece is fired repeatedly — often fifteen or more times — allowing color, depth, and surface to develop.
