In this piece, I highlight the translucency of beeswax. I first drew doodles on the board and then covered it in many layers of un-pigmented encaustic medium (beeswax and damar resin) and then cut the stencils for the flowers and stems, filling those areas with heavily-pigmented encaustic paint.
