Artist Notes:
This is a very special Rains abstract inspired by Lake County, Colorado near Leadville and my most favorite hike on the planet to Hagerman Tunnel. Depicted is Mt. Massive, one of Colorado's highest "14ers" (which I hiked decades ago). It towers over Leadville, Turquoise Lake, Hagerman Pass and the greater Lake County area. I painted this in 2024 as part of my fund-raising project to replace historical signs along the old railroad-bed trail to Hagerman Tunnel, once the highest railroad tunnel on the planet. Part of my Rains series, inspired by rivulets of rain.
