This piece started quietly. I was thinking about those times when the world feels big and uncertain, and how we each have this small, steady light inside that keeps us going. As I painted, she appeared — tender, a little vulnerable, but still full of wonder, like she’s learning to trust her own light in the darkness.
Her eyes reflect the night sky, almost as if her light and the stars are one and the same. I wanted that connection — the sense that our inner light isn’t something separate, but part of something much larger than ourselves. She exudes both gentleness and strength and ultimately, she is a reminder to keep showing up in the world and letting our light shine.
