Artist Notes:
“Between Rides” is a mixed media piece on a 16x20 cradled wood panel. It begins with collaged vintage French book pages with text and images for texture. Then as I block in the painting, I leave some of the underpainting exposed. The background is created with glazes that incorporate runs, splatters and rubs. It is finished with turquoise colored pencil and charcoal linework.
