Meet Leslie…
Layers of emotion and color are fundamental to my oil and cold wax paintings, as well as my mixed media work. Working intuitively and with intention, each piece evolves through multiple layers, a process that could not be achieved in a single pass. This approach mirrors the complexity of human existence, where people are shaped by a myriad of influences and experiences, each layer adding depth and meaning.
I believe the true beauty of a person lies in the intersection of their influences, values, and experiences. In my work, I aim to make the unique universal and the universal unique—creating art that reflects both individuality and the shared human condition.
Leslie’s artistic journey began through independent study in 2014, and she has continued to grow her craft through constant learning from other accomplished artists. Born in California and raised in East Tennessee, Leslie now resides in Tubac, AZ, where she continues to create and teach.
