Inna Dzhanibekova’s art is a dynamic fusion of creativity and curiosity, shaped by her background as both a mixed media artist and a research scientist. Her work explores the intersections of diverse techniques, blending acrylics, inks, and layered materials like newspaper and book pages to create pieces rich in texture and depth. For Inna, experimentation isn’t just part of the process—it’s the heart of her artistic journey.
“I capture the fleeting moments of life and spaces.”
Growing up in an artistic family, Inna was surrounded by creativity from an early age. Whether watching her grandmother sew elaborate gowns or observing her father at his drawing table, she absorbed the importance of craftsmanship and detail. This foundation, combined with her scientific career in the pharmaceutical industry, has influenced her unique approach to art—where observation, exploration, and design come together seamlessly.
Inna’s work reflects a joyful celebration of the world around her. From the fleeting beauty of flowers to the intricate patterns of textiles, urban landscapes, and everyday life, she captures vibrant moments without restraint. Her art thrives on the interplay of colors, shapes, and textures, often featuring unexpected elements like figures, objects, or even critters woven into her compositions.
Since 2012, Inna has shared her passion through Small Joys Studio and Gallery, a creative space that also hosts pop-up exhibitions featuring guest artists. Her work is a testament to the idea that art and science aren’t separate pursuits but complementary ways of understanding and expressing the world.
Her latest collection of original pieces will be unveiled at our next virtual art show “Momentum“, which opens on February 20th at 10am MT. The show will close on February 22nd at 4pm MT. Be sure to create your free Collector Account early so you are prepared for the show open!
