“I like to think of my paintings as

‘little moments of light’.”

Hi, I’m Natasha and I’m an Australian based Artist. My passion for painting was ignited when I moved to Colorado and immersed myself in the Denver artist community. I mostly paint with oils using the wet on wet method, often in one sitting, to produce a fresh, playful and contemporary style of art. I love capturing little moments of light by recreating atmospheric effects in large expressive florals, colour infused still life scenes, and loose painterly landscapes. I believe in painting as a practice, and try to create most days to keep my creative rhythm. So, if I can’t get to the studio for my oil paintings, I create smaller works on paper using watercolour, ink and gouache.

Examples of My Work

I used to be a Corporate Executive Assistant

I live on a rural property with 50 mango trees, which was completely off the power grid for the last 10 years.

I lived in Colorado for 4 years but I’m based in Australia

How do you get over creative blocks?

I try to focus on painting as a practice and not get attached to the outcome. The best work comes out of a repetitive rhythm.

What do you wish you could tell your younger artist self?

Learn to love the marks you make and don’t be overly critical of your own work. Perfection stifles creativity.

What is your hidden talent or claim to fame??

I love to cook and can regularly be found cooking up a feast for 20+ people in my home for celebrations.
