Call for Textile Artists: Artburst Studios’ “Synapse” Online Show (September 18-20, 2025)

Artburst Studios hosts online art shows that feature high-quality artwork and foster meaningful connections between artists and collectors. Each show runs for less than 72 hours and includes up to 35 talented artists, providing multiple opportunities for increased sales, exposure, and audience engagement. Selected artists and their collections are promoted through show graphics, artist profiles, blog posts, and interviews, reaching a dedicated community of art lovers and collectors.

This is an opportunity to create a cohesive body of work to be revealed to art lovers!

For our upcoming September 2025 online show, “Synapse” (September 18-20), we are spotlighting textile and fiber artists.

Selected artists will showcase 8-12 original pieces created specifically for this event, with all sales taking place on the Artburst website. At the show’s conclusion, artists will ship their sold pieces directly to buyers.

  • Application Deadline: March 18, 2025

  • Online Show & Sale: September 18, 2025 (10 AM MST) – September 20, 2025 (4 PM MST)

The “Synapse” show will be curated by award-winning textile artist Lisa Call. With over 35 years of creative exploration, Lisa has produced more than 1,000 textile paintings, exhibited globally, and earned a place in both public and private collections.

Applicants may be invited to an online meeting with a member of the Artburst Leadership Team. During this call, we will review the show process, timelines, and expectations as outlined in the Artist Agreement and address any artist questions.

If accepted, artists must sign the Artist Agreement before being officially added to the show roster.

  • Artwork Sample Images (Required): Applicants must submit high-quality images of previous works that accurately represent the medium and style of the pieces they intend to create for the show.
  • Application Fee (Required): A non-refundable application fee of $30 is required. Artburst Studios retains a 35% commission on all show sales.
  • Important Participation Requirements: Upon acceptance, artists must:
    • Attend (or view recordings of) informational sessions.
    • Meet deadlines.
    • Actively participate in show marketing efforts.
    • Ship all sold pieces to buyers within 72 hours of the show’s conclusion.

Artist Eligibility

  • Open to all textile and fiber artists worldwide.

Artwork Eligibility

  • Accepted Mediums: Fiber Arts, Textile Arts
  • Size: All artwork sizes are welcome, but pieces must be safe and feasible for the artist to ship.
  • Creation Timing:
    • Sample pieces (for application only) may be previously created/sold works, preferably within the last three years.
    • Accepted artists must create new, previously unadvertised work specifically for this show. These pieces must be completed and uploaded (with images, dimensions, and pricing) one month prior to the show dates.
  • Originality & Rights:
    • All artwork must be original and solely created by the artist, without instructor supervision.
    • No copies, derivatives, reproductions, or giclée prints will be accepted.
  • Availability: Artists must provide 8-12 exclusive pieces available only through Artburst for the duration of the show.
  • Pricing: Artists set their own prices and shipping fees for their show pieces.

The $30 application fee is non-refundable. 

By submitting an application, the artist is declaring their artwork is not a copy, derivative or based on the work of others or in any way an infringement of copyright.
