"There is always hope, for when nothing else is left we have that..."
About Me
I find inspiration in the serene beauty of forests, surrounded by mountains and lush trees. My work reflects both present moments and past memories, blending abstraction with subtle hints of representation to capture the essence of my experiences.
Starting with chaotic marks and layers of paint, my process reflects a desire to bring rest and peace to everything I create. Guided by intuition, I use brayers and squeegees to channel the energy of my surroundings into fresh perspectives.
I work primarily with oil and cold wax on birchwood panels, using brayers and squeegees for a looser, more expressive interpretation of my ideas.

More About Me
What do you wish you could tell your younger artist self?
Just be patient and paint what you feel, your style will come with lots of hours. And sometimes it is going to be extremely frustrating.
When did you know you were an artist?
Always have been imaginative and creative, but I think 40 years ago, I knew I was an artist when I copied a Gohgan from an art magazine, then my husband insisted I take up painting.
What's your most embarrassing moment?
Having an opera singer sing me "Happy Birthday" in a crowded restaurant. He was a good friend, but I was sooo embarrassed, yet honored.
